Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist (Part-Time)

Location: Bowral NSW
Clinic Type: Private Practice & Gym-based rehab

We are looking for a part-time Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist to join our growing team at Forge Ahead Physiotherapy.

We are a local, independently owned physiotherapy practice with a simple philosophy: people come first.

We believe great physiotherapy is about more than treating an injury. It's about understanding the person in front of you, what matters to them, where they want to get back to, and helping them build the confidence and resilience to get there.

Our approach is down-to-earth, personable and genuine. We value high-quality, evidence-informed healthcare, but we also value the conversations, relationships and trust that make great healthcare possible.

People are our passion.

Who we're looking for:

We're looking for a physiotherapist who shares those values and wants to bring their best to our team and the Southern Highlands community.

Ideally, you'll have experience working in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and sports physiotherapy, although we're more interested in finding the right person than simply ticking boxes.

You'll be someone who:

  • Genuinely enjoys helping and connecting with people
  • Is passionate about musculoskeletal physiotherapy, rehabilitation and exercise
  • Takes pride in providing a high standard of care
  • Can confidently assess, diagnose and manage a broad range of musculoskeletal presentations using an evidence-informed approach
  • Enjoys combining hands-on treatment, exercise prescription, rehabilitation and education to create individualised treatment plans
  • Communicates clearly and builds genuine relationships with patients
  • Takes pride in maintaining accurate, timely and professional clinical documentation
  • Is motivated to continue learning and developing as a clinician
  • Can work confidently and independently while also enjoying being part of a supportive team
  • Wants to contribute to a growing practice and the Southern Highlands community around it

The role:

This is a part-time position, initially 2-3 days per week, with the opportunity to increase days as the role grows.

You'll work with a diverse caseload including musculoskeletal, sports injuries, rehabilitation, and general physiotherapy. Key clientele include private patients, workers compensation, NDIS, DVA and medicare clients. There is also scope to provide Pilates assessments and individualised programming, as well as strength and conditioning assessment and programming as appropriate.

Our approach allows you to incorporate manual therapy, exercise rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, patient education and self-management strategies based on the individual needs and goals of each patient.

We have an established and growing patient base, so we're looking for someone who can step into the clinic and become an important part of its next chapter.

What you'll need:

  • Degree qualified Physiotherapist with current AHPRA registration
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to evidence-informed practice and ongoing professional development
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to our team
  • Current Australian driver's licence and access to a vehicle
  • Current Working With Children Check and National Police Check, or willingness to obtain these prior to commencing

Previous experience in private practice or musculoskeletal physiotherapy is highly regarded.

What we offer:

We want Forge Ahead to be a place where clinicians can do excellent work, continue developing professionally and still have flexibility outside of work.

  • Flexible working arrangements and hours, with a willingness to work around the right person's circumstances
  • 2-3 days per week initially, with the opportunity to increase days as the role and caseload grow
  • Competitive remuneration, with salary negotiable based on your experience
  • Paid Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to support your clinical interests and ongoing development
  • An established and growing patient base with a diverse musculoskeletal caseload
  • Scope to develop your personal interests within Physiotherapy
  • A supportive, personable and down-to-earth workplace
  • The autonomy to manage your patients
  • A workplace that values high-quality healthcare without losing the human side of what we do

If you're a physiotherapist who cares deeply about people, takes pride in your work and wants to help build something meaningful within the Southern Highlands, we'd love to hear from you.

Forge ahead with us—your journey to resilience starts here.
